32 Week Survey-Baby O #2

How far along? 32 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +1,  up to 167 lbs.    26 lbs. total.  Had gained 31 lbs. total with Graydon at 32 wks along.  Only 5 lbs. behind!! Catching up!  I am sure Christmas is going to change that....
How big is baby? Baby weighs 3.75 pounds (pick up a large jicama) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.. - Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Yes, mostly. Except for my pajama pants or shorts, or sweat shirts...or sweaters I wear over almost everything.
Sleep: Waking up constantly now to readjust. This past week hasn't been too bad.
Best moment this week: The best moment this week was definitely having our Christmas with the Grants and the Martinos!
Movement: Yes, a lot, it has been hurting more and more lately.
 Food cravings: Sweets, OJ
Food aversions:  Nothing anymore really.
Gender: Baby girl!
Labor Signs: Still having strong BH a lot.

Symptoms:  Tired. Contractions. Heartburn. Fun stuff! :)
Belly Button in or out? It's flat/out a bit.
Wedding rings on or off?  I would love to be able to keep them on this time around. We will see!
Stretchmarks? Just around my belly button.
How are you feeling? Tired and looking forward to this next week of Christmas festivities so that next week I can rest, lol.
What I am looking forward to: Opening presents with our families!
What I miss:  Not worrying about the Holidays.
Weekly Wisdom:
Don't wait until the last minute for your shopping!
 Milestones:  32 weeks....Christmas is almost over...crazy!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others: I thought I would be better about remembering this stuff.....

31 Week Survey- Baby O #2

How far along? 31 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +0,  up to 166 lbs. Probably because of all the walking we did in Chicago this past weekend!   25 lbs. total.  Had gained 30 lbs. total with Graydon at 31 wks along.
How big is baby? Baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. - Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Yes, mostly. Except for my pajama pants or shorts, or sweat shirts...or sweaters I wear over almost everything.
Sleep: Waking up constantly now to readjust. Sometimes it is hard to go back to sleep. I am exhausted!
Best moment this week: This past week was awesome!  Friday morning Graydon went to his Grandparents house and we took off for a trip to Chicago. We visited the Christkindlmarket, had lunch at Gino's East (YUM for Chicago style deep dish pizza!), visited the original Marshall Fields aka Macy's and saw the Walnut Room with the huge tree, had dinner at Bandera with Chris's boss and wife, son and DIL, then hung out with them the rest of the evening.  Saturday morning Chris had to work for a couple of hours so I shopped up State St. by myself and went to the Market again. We had a late sushi lunch then shopped up and down the Magnificent Mile for a couple of hours.  Had dinner with our good friends/MI parents at The MarketHouse, then went to Andy's Jazz Club for the remainder of the night. Sunday we slept in a bit and then packed up. Had a late breakfast at Yolk and then got on our train to head home! We stopped at the Outlets quick in MI City for some last minute Christmas deals and then were on our way to get Graydon and our dog Niles. We got home pretty late last night. I am SPENT today!
Movement: Yes, a lot, it has been hurting more and more lately.
Food cravings: Nothing in particular that I can think of right now, but I definitely have a sweet tooth. The one thing I have to have every day is OJ though!
Food aversions:  Nothing anymore really.
Gender: Baby girl!
Labor Signs: Still having strong BH on and off. This weekend was hard with us walking all over!
Symptoms:  Tired. Contractions. Heartburn. Fun stuff! :)
Belly Button in or out? It is pretty flat now.
Wedding rings on or off?  Still on and for a long time hopefully. :)
Stretchmarks? I have noticed that the ones around my belly button are getting worse. They are getting stretched out from before. I did not get them until the very end with Graydon and you could hardly notice them. They pretty much went away after that, but since they were still sort of there, they have really popped up now. Oh well!
How are you feeling? SO tired!! :)  It is hard work having all that fun!
What I am looking forward to: Finishing my Christmas shopping/treat and cookie baking/getting everything wrapped. Too much to do and not enough time!
What I miss:  SLEEP! lol
Weekly Wisdom:
Treasure every moment with your kids. Time is so precious.
Milestones:  31 weeks, and getting closer. Time is flying, especially since it's the Holidays!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others:  Gahhh I know that there were so many but do you think I can remember any of them?! haha

I wanted to take one in Chicago but sort of forgot about it...here is one from home!

30 Week Survey- Baby O #2

 How far along? 30 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +3,  up to 166 lbs.  25 lbs. total.  Had gained 29 lbs. total with Graydon at 30 wks along.
How big is baby? Baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. - Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Yes, mostly. Except for my pajama pants or shorts, or sweat shirts...or sweaters I wear over almost everything.
Sleep: Waking up a lot in the night to readjust but can usually fall right back asleep. Last night I had to get up and use the bathroom around 2:30 AM for the first time in months!!
Best moment this week: There were SO many! Thursday night we had our girls Holiday party and that is always a good time. We do an ornament exchange and this year I got a little cow...it is so cute...and fitting, haha! It says Mooey Christmas on it, and on the "milk jug" says 2012. Everyone thought it was pretty funny that I got that, and so did I! It is also sentimental because a coworker who I think a lot of was the person who had brought it.  Friday night we celebrated my MIL Jeanne's bday and went out to dinner. Graydon stayed the night with them that night which is always a nice little break for us! Saturday morning we were on the move early. Christmas shopping, lunch at PF Chang's with Chris's boss Fred and wife Sharon, and then we went and saw Lincoln with them. Afterward we went to my entire office work party, then on to pick up Graydon. Sunday we went to church, grocery shopped, cleaned, laundry, all that fun stuff. I guess that stuff wasn't the best, but it has to get done sometime!  I have been busy every night either doing hair or nails, but I think I am officially done for the Holidays, woo hoo!
Movement: Yes, a lot, it has been hurting more and more lately.
Food cravings: Oatmeal, OJ, cheese, apples, chocolate, Christmas Tree Cakes<---- br="br" lol="lol" nbsp="nbsp" seriously="seriously">
 Food aversions:  Nothing anymore really.
Gender: Baby girl!
Labor Signs: I keep having contractions occasionally...not the BH like I had with Graydon, much more painful. Now they happen even when I'm not doing anything and they are totally random. I mentioned them to the doctor and she said that I'm fine and that it's normal. Some pregnancies you have more contractions than others and if they aren't getting even more painful and leading to labor then I'm fine. (ummm ok?)  I will trust her and just go with it I guess!
Symptoms:  Tired. Contractions. Heartburn. Fun stuff! :)
Belly Button in or out? It is pretty flat now.
Wedding rings on or off?  Still on and for a long time hopefully. :)
Stretchmarks? Just around my belly button. I have been good about using lotions and belly balm almost every day.
How are you feeling? Emotional. Ha!
What I am looking forward to: Tomorrow morning we leave for Chicago for a work trip for Chris. We will get a lot of free time though. I am looking forward to so many things there! I am also praying that I can handle all the walking OK.
What I miss:  Not having these contractions....I prefer the BH I had with Graydon, lol.
Weekly Wisdom:
Things always take longer than you think they will..schedule more time.
Milestones:  30 weeks! 3/4 of the way through!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others:  I can't think any right now off hand, just random people touching my stomach! :)

29 Week Survey-Baby O #2

How far along? 29 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: -1,  up to 163 lbs.  22 lbs. total.  Had gained 28 lbs. total with Graydon at 29 wks along.
How big is baby? Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. - Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Yes, mostly. Except for my pajama pants or shorts, or sweat shirts...or sweaters I wear over almost everything.
Sleep: It's starting to get sort of bad. I am getting more uncomfortable and I am now waking up a couple times to readjust during the night.
Best moment this week: Going to Target with Chris, taking Graydon to see Santa, having Chris's parents over for dinner, and then going to Jackson to see Megan, Pat, Amelia and Colette on Sunday! So much fun.
Movement: Yes, a lot!
Food cravings: Comfort type food. Fruit, OJ, ice cream.
Food aversions:  Nothing anymore really.
Gender: Baby girl!
Labor Signs: I keep having contractions occasionally...not the BH like I had with Graydon, much more painful. Only happens if I overexert myself it seems. Just trying to be careful.
Symptoms:  Tired. And ohh man the heartburn has been kicking in now. Ugh!
Belly Button in or out? It is pretty flat now.
Wedding rings on or off?  Still on and for a long time hopefully. :)
Stretchmarks? Just around my belly button. I have been good about using lotions and belly balm almost every day.
How are you feeling? Getting more uncomfortable...and I seem to be very tired all the time lately.
What I am looking forward to:Getting my hair done Wednesday, my Holiday Girls Gathering with my work friends, my work Christmas party on Saturday along with Christmas shopping and seeing the movie Lincoln! Not sure what Saturday holds. Probably cleaning and grocery shopping.
What I miss:  Not feeling so tired all the time.
Weekly Wisdom:
  Rest when you can!
Milestones:  In 3rd tri now...still can't believe it!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others:  Graydon has been touching my belly a lot and talking to "baby sister". I think he felt her move a couple times but I am still not totally sure he understands what is going on.  When we visited Megan she let us borrow her doppler so we were playing with that last night and listening to the babies heartbeat, which is pretty cool!!  More and more people at my work are slowly finding out that I am not planning on coming back after I have the baby. I am so excited and so sad at the same time. Yesterday Chris said to me, "Next year is going to fly by. The baby will be here, then at the end of Spring I will graduate, then Summer will be here, and Summer ALWAYS flies by. And then before we know it, it will be Fall and the Holidays again." I was like OMGosh stoooooooop it!!! Ahh! I just want to enjoy next year and take in ever moment of getting to stay home with my kiddos. I cannot wait!!
Also, a 2.5 lb. butternut squash seems so huge to me right now. I cannot believe how big the baby is already. And then reality sinks in about how she is going to more than double in the next two months...ahh!! :)

29 Weeks along:

Trying to get a cute pic with Gray by the tree but he wasn't really digging it.

28 Week Comparison!

28 Weeks with Graydon

28 Weeks with Baby Girl

I think I carried Graydon a little lower so far and my belly seems up more with this baby. I am definitely catching up in size though!

28 Week Survey- Baby O #2

How far along? 28 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:+4,  up to 164 lbs.  23 lbs. total.  Had gained 26 lbs. total with Graydon at 28 wks along.
How big is baby?  Baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can open and close her eyes, which now sport lashes. This movement is more of a reflexive blink than a deliberate opening and closing. - Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Yes, mostly. Except for my pajama pants or shorts, or sweat shirts...or sweaters I wear over almost everything.
Sleep: Good. I sleep all night long pretty much. I wake up here and there to readjust and get comfortable but I fall right back asleep. I could take a 2 hour nap every day too...wish I could!! Having a 4 day weekend was AWESOME!
Best moment this week: Having 4 days off of work, with Graydon. Baking and cooking with Chris on wednesday night. Having a fun breakfast with him and Gray Thanksgiving morning. Thanksgiving with Chris's family, eating good food, sleeping in, taking naps, seeing Breaking Dawn pt. 2 and going to BDubs with good friends, putting up the Christmas tree and making memories with Graydon, church. This past week was great!
Movement: Yes, a lot!
Food cravings: Ham, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie...all those yummy Thanksgiving leftovers still. Turkey...I could take it or leave it. :)   Root beer floats are always good too!
Food aversions:  Nothing anymore really.
Gender: Baby girl!
Labor Signs: Been having braxton hicks for a while now. Sometimes they are really intense..I never remembered having them like that with Graydon. I haven't had any so far like I had with him (tightening in my belly, and mostly in the middle of the night.)
Pretty good but tired a lot and getting more uncomfy.
What I am looking forward to: December...lots of fun things in the next up and coming weeks!
What I miss:  My hips not hurting. :)
Weekly Wisdom:
  Rest when you can!
Milestones:  3rd Trimester, HOLY COW!!!!!! That came quick!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others:  Welp, I passed my glucose test (woo hoo!!!) I had my doctor's appointment last week a little early because Chris just got a new job and we have to switch insurance plans.  Anyways, since they squeezed me in I ended up seeing the other OB in the office...she was actually the doctor who ended up delivering Graydon. Anyways, she totally gave me crap about my weight.  She said I had gained 6 lbs. since my last appointment and technically they do not like that. My jaw seriously dropped and I had to stop myself from laughing. Oh well...I know I look OK. I am still smaller than I was with Graydon, but I am slowly catching up.  At the end of the appointment she told me not to eat too much. LOL, seriously?!  It is the Holidays. I am pregnant, and enjoying it. It is bound to happen.  Not to mention I love working out when I'm not pregnant...I will lose the weight, just like last time..I am not worried about it at all!! So funny. :)

How far along? 27 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:+2,  up to 160 lbs.  19 lbs. total.  Had gained 24.5 lbs. total with Graydon at 27 wks along.
How big is baby?  This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. - Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Yes, mostly. Except for my pajama pants or shorts, or sweat shirts...or sweaters I wear over almost everything.
Sleep: Pretty good! Still have not really had to get up in the night to use the bathroom (woo hoo!)  I seem to wake up and be on my back a lot, but I'm able to fall right back asleep. Using a wedge and pillow between my knees to stay comfortable and it works well. I am SO tired every day though it seems...especially  just sitting at my desk at work!
Best moment this week: Definitely NOT the Yule Run...Graydon cried almost the entire time, LOL. Poor guy. I felt so bad for him. It could have been a lot of fun but it was cold out and he did not want to be stuck in his stroller.  Saturday was definitely be far the best....we relaxed in our PJs around the house and watched the Santa Parade on TV.  Enjoyed our breakfast and coffee etc. That afternoon we spent with the Grant and Martino families enjoying an amazing early Thanksgiving feast. It was awesome!! Sunday we got family pics taken. Graydon barely smiled but I think we still got some amazing pics taken. We have only seen one preview so far but it is great!!  I also got the bedding in the mail and really love it, woo hoo!
Movement: Yes, a lot!
Food cravings: Coffee, juice, chocolate, fruit, hearty food. Thanksgiving food...pumpkin pie!
Food aversions:  Some meats and vegetables.
Gender: Baby girl!
Labor Signs: Nada
Symptoms:  Being tired on and off and sore breasts.

How are you feeling? Pretty good but seem to be tired all the time. Wish I felt more rested!

What I miss:  My hips not hurting. :)
Weekly Wisdom:
I got nothin.
Milestones:  27 weeks. Next week is 3rd tri!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others:  It has been fun letting people feel the baby move from the outside!

Here is the one professional pic preview that we have so far!

26 Week Survey- Baby O #2

How far along? 26 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:+2,  up to 158 lbs.  17 lbs. total.  Had gained 24.5 lbs. total with Graydon at 26 wks along.
How big is baby?  The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel.- Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Yes, mostly. Except for my pajama pants or shorts, or sweatershirts...or sweaters I wear over almost everything.
Best moment this week: Finding out that Chris got the new job we have been praying for!!!  Feeling sooo blessed.  We also got a lot of stuff done around our house. I also got to do some shopping by myself while Chris was home this weekend, and also created a small registry with a couple of girly things on it.
Movement: Yes, a lot!
Food cravings: Coffee, juice, chocolate, fruit, hearty food.
Food aversions:  Some meats and vegetables.
Gender: Baby girl!
Labor Signs: Nada
Symptoms:  Being tired on and off and sore breasts.
Belly Button in or out? It is pretty flat now.
Wedding rings on or off?  Still on and for a long time hopefully. :)
Stretchmarks? Just around my belly button. I have been good about using lotions and belly balm almost every day.
How are you feeling? Pretty good but seem to be tired all the time. Wish I felt more rested!
What I am looking forward to: Getting the new bedding in the mail that I ordered (a 4 piece set for $80!!! Such a great deal!)  Yule Run on Friday evening, Santa Parade with Chris and Graydon and friends Saturday morning, an afternoon spent with more friend and family for our first (early) Thanksgiving celebration ( I can't wait!!!) and Sunday we are getting family/maternity/Gray's 2 year pics taken. I hope the weather cooperates and I'm sure they will turn out amazing!
What I miss:  Having normal energy all the time and working out. Raw sushi. Wanting or liking alcoholic beverages once in a while. I guess it's good that I do not crave them though while being pregnant, so I am thankful for that!!
Weekly Wisdom:
Don't eat too many donuts..hahaha.
Milestones:  26 weeks and I am feeling a lot bigger this week. It really seems like my little sweet bun in the oven had a bit of a growth spurt over the last two weeks. I am getting more uncomfortable and it is harder to lean forward etc!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others: Just people noticing that I seemed to have really "popped" and gotten bigger over the weekend!

25 Week Survey- Baby O #2

How far along? 25 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:+1, so back up to 156 lbs.  15 lbs. total.  Had gained 22 lbs. total with Graydon at 25 wks along.
How big is baby?  Baby gained almost half a pound this week!!! Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture. - Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Yes, mostly. Except for my sweaters I wear over almost everything.
Best moment this week: Going Trick or Treating with Graydon and Nancy's Halloween get together, Dave and Sandy's wedding (so much fun with my coworkers!), having dinner with my in-laws, and a night without Gray, even though I missed him...it was nice to sleep in.  Sunday night I spent some time with Lyn and Mike and Lyn and I made Arancini....they were amazing! We had such a nice dinner.
Movement: Yes, a lot!
Food cravings: Coffee, juice, chocolate, ice cream
Food aversions:  Some meats and vegetables.
Gender: Team pink
Labor Signs: Nada
Symptoms:  Being tired on and off and sore breasts.
Belly Button in or out? It is getting flatter!
Wedding rings on or off?  Still on and for a long time hopefully. :)
Stretchmarks? The ones around my belly button are starting to become more noticeable.
How are you feeling? Great for the most part. I seem to feel very tired at work though. Wish I could sleep in a little more sometimes! Graydon gets up so early!
What I am looking forward to: The election being over, and a weekend with not too much going on..which means getting stuff done around the house!
What I miss:  Having normal energy all the time and working out. Raw sushi.
Weekly Wisdom:
Drink lots of water!
Milestones:  25 Weeks. Only 15 left to go. It is going by so fast. I also had a doctor's appointment on Friday. Within the next couple of weeks I need to drink the glucose juice and get my blood drawn...and also get my Rhogam Shot (I hate that!!!)
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others:  Not too many that I can think of this week!

24 Week Comparison

24 weeks pregnant with Baby Girl O.

24 weeks pregnant with Graydon.

I cannot get over how much smaller I am this time around. Not only do I weigh much less but I feel like I am carrying this baby different as well. I know they say that you can carry boys different than girls....and I that is is probably true...in my case anyways!

24 Week Survey-Baby O #2

How far along? 24 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Down 1 lbs. this week.  155 lbs-- 14 lbs. total.  At this point with Graydon I had already gained 23 lbs. Craziness!
How big is baby?  Just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon. - Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Yes, but still wearing some regular shirts as well. My favorite outfits are more fitting, or if I am wearing sweaters I wear a belt above my belly. And boots of course...and a scarf! :)
Sleep: Awesome! I haven't had to get up to use the bathroom in a couple weeks.  I seem to wake up and be on my back a lot, but I'm able to fall right back asleep. Using a wedge and pillow between my knees to stay comfortable and it works well.
Best moment this week: Oh this is SO easy, hands down. Friday my good friend/coworker Nancy and I went to the Outlet Mall in Michigan City all day on Friday. We had such a good time. I got some really cute stuff for the baby along with some stuff that I really needed for Graydon as well. Some of my favorites are the winter boots and pants that I got for Graydon, along with the little outfits, little gray boots and black dress shoes that I got for Baby Girl.  Also got my hair touched up on Wednesday and a cut...looks so much better now!
Movement: Yep. She is kicking me like crazy.
Food cravings: Chocolate, spicy foods like buffalo wings, orange juice, coffee, fruit.
Food aversions:  Some meats and vegetables.
Gender: Precious baby girl!
Pretty good! Tired sometimes, especially by bedtime, but I have a great amount of energy now which I LOVE. Gotta love 2nd tri. :)
What I am looking forward to: My work Halloween Party, Chili cook off at work, Halloween and Trick or Treating with Graydon, and my friend Dave's wedding this weekend!
What I miss:  Having normal energy all the time and working out. Raw sushi.
Weekly Wisdom:
Drink lots of water!
Milestones:  Viability week, woooot!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others:  Chris made a comment the other night about my belly button getting more shallow.  I had someone tell me that they think I am losing weight everywhere else and that it is all going to my belly (totally not true, LOL, but thanks I think?)  Comments about how cute I like or how I am a fashionable pregnant girl (once again, thanks.....good thing they don't see me at home, hahaha.)

Graydon wanted to get in the picture with me!

23 Week Survey-Baby O #2

How far along? 23 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Up 1 lbs. this week.  156 lbs-- 15 lbs. total.  At this point with Graydon I had already gained 20 lbs. Getting closer!
How big is baby? And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world.  - Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Yes, but still wearing regular shirts as well.
Best moment this week:  Hanging out with Lyn on Thursday evening and making some Harvest Chili!  Friday I looked around for some nursery ideas. In the afternoon I did some baking...a pumpkin pie, a pumpkin roll and some pumpkin muffins with chocolate chips in them! YUM. Saturday was Sweetest Day and Chris got me some yummy chocolates from this place called MaryAnn's.  We went to see his parents and Aunt and had dinner with them at Red Lobster. Yes, I got the endless shrimp. Yes, it was AMAZING. hahaha. Then afterward we watched the game and unfortunately MSU lost to U of M. But the dessert was amazing and worth all the hard work.
Movement: Yep. She is kicking me like crazy.
Food cravings: Chocolate, spicy foods like buffalo wings, orange juice, coffee, fruit.
Food aversions:  Some meats and vegetables.
Gender: Precious baby girl!
Labor Signs: Nada
Symptoms:  Being tired on and off and sore breasts.
Belly Button in or out? Still in.
Wedding rings on or off?  Still on and for a long time hopefully. :)
Stretchmarks? The ones around my belly button are starting to become more noticeable.
How are you feeling? Pretty good! Tired sometimes, especially by bedtime, but I have a great amount of energy now which I LOVE. Gotta love 2nd tri. :)
What I am looking forward to: Going home and checking out the bedding that I ordered...it was supposed to be delivered today...hopefully I like it!  Getting my hair done on Wednesday and going shopping with my coworker Nancy to the Michigan City outlet mall on Friday! Can't wait!!!!
What I miss:  Having normal energy and working out.
Weekly Wisdom:
Rest when you can.
Milestones:  Just the baby getting bigger. One more week until viability.
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others:  Sunday there were some people at the Marathon ( I was just rooting people on) that had no idea I was pregnant. I am still decently small in person I guess..plus I was wearing a hoodie. It was kind of funny!

22 Weeks-Baby Ostie #2

How far along? 22 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 3 lbs. this week. Making up for last week. 155 lbs-- 14 lbs. total.  At this point with Graydon I had already gained 20 lbs. And at this same point in my pregnancy last time, I had gained 0 lbs. last week and 3 lbs. at week 22, just like this pregnancy...interesting! (To me anyways, lol.)
How big is baby? At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment.  - Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Yes, but  mostly regular shirts still.
Sleep: Awesome! I haven't had to get up to use the bathroom in a couple weeks.  I seem to wake up and be on my back a lot, but I'm able to fall right back asleep. Using a wedge and pillow between my knees to stay comfortable and it works well. (Just checked back again on my 22 wk blog post with Graydon, and I wrote the same thing about how I kept waking up on my back. Once again, so weird and interesting!)
Best moment this week:  It's been a lot of fun talking with friends/family/coworkers about us having a girl! Friday afternoon my good friend Lauren came over and I haven't seen her in a while so that was nice. That evening to took Graydon to the mall. I got a Pandora bead for my bracelet, for baby girl. I love it! We also got a couple of Holiday shirts from Kohl's for Graydon. Saturday I did this walk with my friend Kerri from work.  It was nasty out and raining hard but we bundled up with our umbrellas and hot Starbucks PSLs and had some good girl time while we walked. I got a lot of stuff done around our house that day too. Sunday was pretty relaxed!
Movement: Yep. She is kicking me like crazy.
Food cravings: Chocolate, orange juice, cereal, hearty foods, coffee.
What I am looking forward to: Spending time with Lyn, baking and getting laundry done on Friday, hanging out with my in laws on Saturday and going out to eat, and the U of M vs. MSU game.
What I miss:  Having normal energy and working out.
Weekly Wisdom:
Also hope, don't expect.  And don't try to find happiness in other people.
Milestones:  Nothing really this week. Except this is the first week that I looked at the size update and thought wow, the baby is getting pretty big!! A whole pound....the size of a spaghetti squash...so awesome!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others:  Chris mentioned something about how he realized that he is so affectionate towards Graydon and how can imagine being even more affectionate with our baby girl (if possible?!) I was like awww!  She will be a Daddy's girl. :)

21 Week Survey- Baby O #2

How far along? 21 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 0 lbs. this week. Probably all the running around I've been doing for Graydon's party, lol.  152 lbs-- 11 lbs. total.  At this point with Graydon I had already gained 17 lbs.
How big is baby?  Baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like she's practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now, and if you're having a girl, her vagina has begun to form as well. - Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Yes, but  mostly regular shirts still.
Sleep: Not too bad. Using a wedge and pillow between my knees to stay comfortable and it works well.
Best moment this week:  Hearing that we are having a GIRL! Also hearing that everything looked good on the ultrasound. Telling all of our family and friends and hearing everyone's reactions was awesome.  Having Graydon's birthday party on Saturday was great too!
Movement: Yes, I love it. Some days I feel more than others.
Food cravings: Chocolate, orange juice, sunny side up eggs, pumpkin spice donuts.
I have some very faint marks from being pregnant with Graydon but they are not very noticeable.
How are you feeling? Pretty good! Tired sometimes.
What I am looking forward to:Getting more stuff done around our house this weekend.  Hopefully finding a bedding set that I like for the nursery.
What I miss:  Having normal energy and working out.
Weekly Wisdom:
Enjoy your time with family and friends, it always goes by too fast.
Milestones:  Finding out the gender!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others:  When I found out that we were having a girl I was so happy and overwhelmed I just started bawling! Chris and Lyn were so sweet and very happy. It was such a perfect response. All of our friends and families that we have told have had really great responses too. It has been so much fun this weekend!

21 Weeks with Baby Girl

 21 Week Comparison-Pregnant with Graydon

It's a GIRL!

Wow, we are feeling very blessed right now! Not to mention a little overwhelmed.

Friday morning we had our big ultrasound. Most importantly, everything with the baby looked great according to the ultrasound tech. We were both very thankful for that. Praise God!!  I just feel like with all the health issues I had early on and all the meds I had to take....well, it made me a bit nervous.

She was able to get great shot that showed that the baby was a girl. There were 3 little perfect lines, so it was pretty obvious. We are so happy and excited!  Also, her heartbeat was around 141. Now we need to start thinking about some baby names. We have tossed a few around, but nothing too concrete yet. We also had to buy a couple of "pink" things afterward...tradition! We got some really cute stuff as congrats presents at Graydon's Birthday party Saturday as well. Once again, we feel so thankful and blessed.

Happy 2nd Birthday Graydon!

Wow...time truly does fly when you are having fun. Or maybe it just flies when you have a toddler!  I cannot believe he is 2 years old already.

This morning we let him have a cupcake first thing, and blow out candles.  He only ate a little of the frosting and then he acted afraid of the candles, lol.  He asked for fruit snacks too, so of course we gave them to him! After all, you only turn two once. Plus it is his "Golden Birthday." So I really feel the need to make it a good one. I feel bad that he is at daycare today. I should have taken the day off. Tonight we plan on eating some dinner and having some cake, and then this Saturday will be his Birthday party with our families.

And now, for some 2 year stats for Graydon:

He is -- lbs. and --  inches tall.  (I will get this in the morning!)
He can still fit into some 24 month clothes but wears a lot of size 2T.
Still wears size 5 diapers, which he has worn for quite some time now. He will sit on the potty occasionally and sometimes even go but for the most part he is not potty trained at all yet.
He still loves almost all fruit.
He asks for fruit snacks and popsicles EVERY day.
He loooves cheese, applesauce, garlic bread and any sort of pasta.
He will eat turkey and hot dogs, but will pick at chicken or beef.
He drinks Original flavored Almond Milk vs. whole milk, and water. Once in a while we let him have some juice as a treat and he loves apple or orange juice.
He seems to love chocolate, especially M & Ms although it's rare that he gets them. But if we give him a cookie we typically won't eat it.
As of this week he is into his new "big boy room and bed!"
Loves taking baths especially if they have bubbles.
He loves to read, and especially loves to play with my iPhone. He will ask all the time to play ABCs or Old MacDonald.
He still really doesn't watch TV, but when he does he asks to watch "Thomas" aka Thomas the Train. That is the theme we are doing his Birthday party in this weekend.
For some reason he is obsessed with shoes.
Can sing all of his ABC's and count to 10.
Will try to repeat anything you say and is a huge talker. Like nonstop talking. He amazes me with some of the words he can pronounce, and also how he uses sentences in the correct context. He also likes to tell and show you things.  He usually says " Look at this Momma, look at this." etc.
If we are in the bathroom, he wants us to give him a vitamin. It's hilarious. We are pretty sure he thinks they are candy.
He does really well at either brushing his own teeth or letting you brush his, and if he sees his Daddy start to brush his teeth, Graydon has to brush his too.
His favorite songs to sing are Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, ABCs, The Wheels on the Bus, Old MacDonald and If You're Happy and You Know It.
He currently attends Marci's Daycare while we are at work. His little friends there are Cloe, Gage, and Payton.
He loves to call Grandma and Grandpa Bob on the phone.
Listens well for the most part, and can follow directions, but also really likes to test you to see if you will force him to do what you are asking.
He likes to hit our dog Niles. We try to be really consistent with teaching him that hitting the dog isn't kind and unacceptable, but, once again, gotta love the little stinker toddler personality.
He will say that there is a baby in my belly and likes to kiss it. It's adorable.
Likes to give kisses and hugs for the most part.
Does really well with going to bed and has for a long time. He doesn't ever hardly cry. He always shocks us with how well he does with things.
Graydon loves to be outside and running around. He especially loves swinging and going down slides.
Every time we drive by the mall he asks to "please go down the slide??"
He knows almost all animals. He loves to learn about animals in general.
He really likes to play with buckles and zippers. Loves his books and puzzles.
He gets compliments all the time about how cute or handsome he is, and how he has "cool hair!"

Graydon has a terrific evening tonight. We had a nice dinner and he ate a ton. He had a bowl of chicken noodle soup, a piece and a half of bread, a bowl of macaroni and cheese, milk and juice, a popsicle, fruit snacks and a yogurt. Then he had a couple bites of frosting, lol. I do not know where he puts it all!! We also sang him Happy Birthday again and let him blow out his candles. His little present tonight was a little stuffed frog that sings Happy Birthday when you press his belly. I think he really likes it!

He also had a little party at daycare today, and for his present he got 5 different little matchbox vehicles and a Thomas the train. He is obsessed with the little cars...he has been carrying them around all night!
