19 Week Survey- Baby #2

How far along? 19 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 150 lbs-- 9 lbs. total.  At this point with Graydon I had already gained 14 lbs.
How big is baby? Baby's weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.- Baby Center
Maternity clothes? Yes! They are so much more comfortable. I am still wearing some of my regular shirts and sweaters but mostly maternity pants. Love them! I also found some black skinny jeans at Pea in a Pod that I am obsessed with now, and they look great with my camel colored boots.
Sleep: It has been so much better lately, and I haven't even had to take a unisom in almost a week, praise God!
Best moment this week:  There were a lot of good ones, as usual. I am so blessed! Wednesday night I spent the evening with Lyn. I had a great dinner and conversation with her and Mike, and then we watched The Importance of Being Earnest. Such a funny, cheesy movie. I love spending time with her!  Friday was my niece Amelia's Birthday so Saturday we drove to Vassar and visited family and celebrated her Birthday.  Sunday we went to church early and spent the rest of the day putting Graydon's furniture together and getting his room ready. I am so excited for him to move into it and hoping he does well.  It is such a cute little room! I will post pictures soon. We just need to buy a twin mattress and a gate for his door so he isn't escaping in the middle of the night, lol.  Also made the first pumpkin pie of the season yesterday and it was SO good!
Movement: Yes, I love it. Some days I feel more than others.
Food cravings: Cereal, juice, fruit, comfort food, soup, pumpkin pie!
Food aversions:  Some meats and vegetables.
Gender: No idea, but thinking GIRL!
Labor Signs: Nada
Symptoms:  Just nausea and sore breasts.
Belly Button in or out? Still in.
Wedding rings on or off?  Still on and for a long time hopefully. :)
Stretchmarks? I have some very faint marks from being pregnant with Graydon but they are not very noticeable.
How are you feeling?  I have been feeling much better thank goodness. I haven't really had any headaches since last weekend and I feel like my energy is a lot better but then again I am still drinking coffee every day. :)
What I am looking forward to: Doing the ArtPrize Trolley with my coworkers Thursday evening, having a decently laid back weekend and hopefully getting the rest of the odds and ends for Graydon's room. I will probably get some things for Graydon's party next week too.
What I miss:  Having normal energy and working out.
Weekly Wisdom:
Love on your kids whenever you can! Time with them is so precious when they are young.
Milestones:   Just talking about baby names some more. Can't wait to find out what we are having next Friday! :)
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others: Getting to see my family this week and having people touch my belly and say I'm definitely popping out! Being congratulated etc.

I am definitely starting to be in the stage where I am loving being pregnant (oh the glory of 2nd tri!) :)

I will post a picture later! Took it at Amelia's party this weekend.

18 Week Survey- Baby O #2

How far along? 18 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 149 lbs-- 8 lbs. total.  At this point with Graydon I had already gained 14 lbs. Wow!
How big is baby?  Baby weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now. - Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  A little of both. Regular shirts and mixing in maternity pants here and there. They are just a lot more comfortable especially if I have to bend over which having a toddler, it seems like I do that a lot!
Sleep: OK I guess.
Best moment this week:  Feeling definite movement all the time now. It is awesome!  Also, getting the house clean and finally getting stuff organized. Getting our new blinds put up. Graydon's room is sort of starting to come together. It takes Chris a long time to put the furniture together and he only has a little time here and there so it's taking a while. Sunday  morning I did the Bridge Walk downtown which was a lot of fun. I love that event.
Movement: Yes, all the time now. Love it. :)
Food cravings: Chocolate chex, pumpkin stuff or hearty fall food in general. Sushi. Finally got my fried chicken craved fulfilled the other night at Cracker Barrel!
Food aversions:  Some meats and vegetables.
Gender: No idea, but thinking GIRL!  We find out Friday, Oct. 5. Any guesses?
Labor Signs: Nada
Symptoms:  Just nausea and sore breasts.  Not sleeping well and very tired.
Belly Button in or out? Still in.
Wedding rings on or off?  Still on and for a long time hopefully. :)
Stretchmarks? I have some very faint marks from being pregnant with Graydon but they are not very noticeable.
How are you feeling?  I am OK. I still feel blah all the time. I keep having headaches on and off, had a bad migraine again the other night. Usually always tired, and somewhat nauseous on and off. Dizzy spells occasionally.
What I am looking forward to:  Well I am loving the cooler weather right now and we are looking forward to our Ultrasound!  Movie night and spending time with Lyn on Wednesday.
What I miss:  Sleeping well and feeling normal.
Weekly Wisdom:
Don't overdue it.
Milestones:  Feeling movement all the time!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others: I overheard Chris telling Graydon the other day when I wasn't feeling well that "His little sister was being a pain (since he REALLY thinks it's a girl!) so he needed to leave Mommy alone." LOL!   My coworker Nancy also keeps referring to the baby as a "her."  I was ranting about something to my bestie Kerri earlier and all of a sudden she as like Oh my gosh you are SOO pregnant!!  We just died cracking up.  Hormones..you gotta love em!

17 Week Survey-Baby O #2

How far along? 17 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 147 lbs-- 6 lbs. total.  At this point with Graydon I had already gained 11 lbs.
How big is baby? Baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.- Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Still wearing mostly regular clothes. At the end of last week I wore a maternity dress for the first time and then also some maternity jeans. I like that they don't push into my stomach but I constantly feel like I am pulling them up. Shirts are still way too big on me but my regular shirts are starting to get too small.
Sleep: OK, esp. since I've been taking half a unisom to help sleep better which works wonders.
Best moment this week:  This past week was AWESOME. Seriously one of the best in a while. Friday I had to work which was sort of a bummer, but I have to make up some days from when I was sick.  I had a doctor's appointment and the baby's Heart Rate was a strong 150.  It was nice to get some questions answered. The way I'm feeling with the severe exhaustion is definitely from the meds I'm on to control the migraines.  My OB said I should start feeling a lot better soon. Friday night it was crummy out so I took Graydon to the mall and he played in the Tree House there for a long time and then kept trying to see where the carousel was because he wanted to ride the horsies so bad. It was so cute...he ended up riding a frog in the end and kept saying Up and Down! and Round and round!  Saturday I started the morning off my having breakfast with my good friend Christy at Wolfgang's, which was a great way to start off the day! I had banana bread french toast with bananas and peanut butter, coffee and orange juice. It was very good!  After that we got a lot of stuff done around our house and then in the afternoon we went to my friend Kerri's. Her family watched Graydon for us all evening while we had a belated Birthday dinner for my husband with Mike and Lyn at this authentic Italian restaurant. The food was seriously phenomenal.  It was one of the best dinners we have ever had, not to mention the awesome company!  Sunday Graydon was so tired that he let us sleep in until a little after 9. We ended up skipping church, going grocery shopping and then spending all afternoon at an indoor pool/water slide. Graydon did awesome which was really unexpected. He LOVED going down the slide, it was so great! Afterward we stopped at Robinette's for cider and pumpkin spice donuts and then visited with our small group for an hour or so. We were all so tired we needed to get home and to bed. Such a fun weekend!
Movement: Nothing really yet! Sometimes when I'm lying down I think I feel stuff but not sure!
Food cravings: Cereal, juice, fruit, ice cream, chocolate!
Food aversions:  Some meats and vegetables.
Gender: No idea, but thinking GIRL!
Labor Signs: Nada
Symptoms:  Just nausea and sore breasts.
I have felt OK the past couple days just pretty tired. This weekend I definitely had some energy which was really nice and I was able to get some stuff done around the house!
What I am looking forward to:  Possibly going to Horton Bay this weekend and getting Graydon's room finished this week hopefully.
What I miss:  Sleeping well and feeling normal.
Weekly Wisdom:
Take advantages of any energy surge, haha.
Milestones:  Hearing the HB again at 150.  This is not pregnancy related, but Graydon is officially DONE with the pacifier, woo hoo! I thought it would be a nightmare but it's actually gone really well.  We also schedule THE BIG ULTRASOUND!! Friday, Oct. 5th at 9:15. I can't wait!!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others: A lot more people have been telling me that I getting bigger and starting to show etc.  Yesterday I mentioned how I got some Reese's and snack size snickers at the store. Chris goes "What are they for??" and I was like ME!! And everyone just cracked up laughing. It was pretty funny.

16 Week Survey-Baby O #2

How far along? 16 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 146 lbs-- 5 lbs. total.  At this point with Graydon I had already gained 11 lbs.
How big is baby? 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. .- Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  I am still wearing regular clothes. I packed away most of my summer clothes and clothes that are soon to be too small. I can wear some of my shirts for a while yet, but I only have two pairs of work pants and they won't last much longer...so very soon!
Sleep: Ok. I toss and turn a lot. This med that I'm on for my migraines makes me exhausted, but then makes you have insomnia...so that's a fun mix.
Best moment this week:  Going to the beach with Graydon, and Chris's cousin Erica and her son Camden who is a couple months older than Graydon. They are such a great age to play together and had a blast. Also my friend Liz's wedding on Saturday. Having a four day weekend.  Finally getting my hair done, woooot!
Movement: Nothing yet, not even flutters really. Can't wait for it!!
Food cravings: Cereal, juice, fruit, ice cream
Food aversions:  Some meats and vegetables.
Gender: No idea, but thinking GIRL!
Labor Signs: Nada
Symptoms:  Just nausea and sore breasts.  Not sleeping well.
Belly Button in or out? Still in.
Wedding rings on or off?  Still on and for a long time hopefully. :)
Stretchmarks? I have some very faint marks from being pregnant with Graydon but they are not very noticeable.
How are you feeling?  Not the greatest. This pregnancy has just been different. I just feel so blah all the time....as my coworker put it, like I'm always on the brink of getting the flu or something.  I really think that it is partially the lingering headaches from this migraine issue mixed with the affects of my medication, plus just being tired from being pregnant. I just felt so good with Graydon, this whole thing has thrown me for a loop.
What I am looking forward to:  Doctor's appointment on Friday, hearing the heartbeat again, getting some questions answered etc. The weekend and hopefully getting some stuff done around the house.
What I miss:  Sleeping well and feeling normal.
Weekly Wisdom:
Rest when you can.
Milestones:  Nothing that I can think of this week!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others:
My boss is constantly asking me if I am OK. He is so nice and thoughtful!  Chris asked me this week if I was going to be diligent again about putting stuff on to keep the stretch marks at a minimum, lol.  I know I could have taken that the wrong way but it was funny.  I know it sounds bad but I feel so lazy this time around. I am lucky if I remember my prenatal these days.

16 Week Picture-Finally starting to feel better and NEW HAIR woo hoo!
