Pregnancy Survery- 39 Weeks Baby O #3

How far along? 39 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss:   I'm guessing like 189? Not sure...but I'm pretty swollen now. Still not as bad as it was with Gray but still...
How big is baby?  Your baby's waiting to greet the world! He continues to build a layer of fat to help control his body temperature after birth, but it's likely he already measures about 20 inches and weighs a bit over 7 pounds, about the size of a mini-watermelon. (Boys tend to be slightly heavier than girls.) The outer layers of his skin are sloughing off as new skin forms underneath. - Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Yes
Sleep:  Not good at all....especially last night when I had contractions 10 minutes apart for like 6 hours!!! Ugh!
Best moment this week:  Last week was much more low key, thank goodness and I am enjoying it. I had MOPS and we also put our Pilot up for sale and decided to buy a van (thank goodness!!)  My OB also told me at my appt. that I am 3 cm. and 40% effaced, so I'm happy about that.  Saturday night Chris and I also had a date night and went to Target, Costco and out to Osaka for dinner.  Sunday we traveled to Kzoo to check out our van, and visited Sweetwater's Donut shop on the way home.
Movement: Yep but baby is running out of room and slowing down.
Food cravings:   Water, juice....so thirsty!
Food aversions:  Nada
Gender:  It's a surprise!
Names:  Well we have another list going...haha.
Labor Signs:  Just a lot of contractions still.
Symptoms:  Painful contractions still. Also the bottoms of my feet hurt from being swollen...almost like the veins are popping out, it's weird. Not fun!  Also been pretty nauseous bc of the contractions.
Belly Button in or out?  Definitely out now!
Wedding rings on or off?  Still on, but stuck there until the end of the day, haha.
Stretchmarks? Yes, from before :)
How are you feeling?  Ready to meet this baby. :)
What I am looking forward to:  Going into labor for real.  Also tomorrow we have a fun day planned, if I'm still pregnant and feeling good.  In the morning we are headed to Catch Air and then going to Chris's work get together in the even at Republics.
What I miss:  Sleeping better, but that isn't going to happen for a while anyways!
Weekly Wisdom:
  Rest
Milestones:  Having contractions for so long last night, and also being 4 days away from my EDD!!!!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others:  Mostly just people checking in to see how I'm feeling and whatnot.

38 Week Pregnancy Survey- Baby O #3

This is a bit late, like usual. :)

How far along? 38 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss:   I currently weigh around 187.5 lbs!
How big is baby?  Your baby has really plumped up. She weighs about 6.8 pounds and she is over 19 1/2 inches long (about the size of a leek). She has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold her hand for the first time! Her organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.- Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  For sure.
Sleep:  It's not the greatest. I'm pretty exhausted!
Best moment this week:  Going to Robinette's with Graydon's class, Trick or Treat at NML with Grandma Nancy, Halloween and the annual party at Nancy's house, getting some Fall clean up taken care of, my in laws coming over so that I could run some errands and get my teeth cleaned, finally getting my own hair done!!! Doing other people's hair too, MOPS, seeing Kerri and doing her hair. It was a pretty busy week.
Movement: Yep but baby is running out of room and slowing down.
Food cravings:  Halloween candy...haha
Food aversions:  Nada
Gender:  It's a surprise!
Names:  Well we have another list going...haha.
Labor Signs:  A lot of contractions. I also had an OB appt. today and she told me that I am 3 cm. and 40% effaced.  Although she said I only measured like 36 weeks which I thought was weird.
Symptoms:  Painful contractions still, along with some shooting pains in my back and hip....baby must be hitting a nerve?  Pelvis still feels like it is splitting. Still swollen and it's worse if I'm on my feet a lot.
Belly Button in or out?  Definitely out now!
Wedding rings on or off?  Still on, but stuck there until the end of the day, haha.
Stretchmarks? Yes, from before :)
How are you feeling?  Been pretty tired lately!
What I am looking forward to: Not having to do anyone else's hair for a while.
What I miss:  Not being in pain all the time, lol.
Weekly Wisdom:
  Rest
Milestones:  Anytime now, and hearing that I am actually dilated.
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others: People's comments always crack me up towards the end of a pregnancy. I have people telling me I look HUGE! And that I look great. ;)

Graydon-4 Years Old

Sometimes I wonder if this kid is an old soul. He is super smart....but then that 4 year old comes out.  I see both Chris and I's personalities in him. He definitely has our tempers sometimes and gets really frustrated. And then he is so sweet.  Also has the personality of an oldest child in my opinion. He is very stubborn and independent. He doesn't like it when Nora messes with stuff in his room or his toys, which he also tends to be very possessive of.  But when they are sharing nicely, it is so sweet to watch them play together!

Graydon currently attends Preschool, two days a week in the mornings.  He seems to love it, for which I am thankful. Of course I pray that he is a great student one day!!

At his 4 year doctor's appointment he weighed 37 lbs ( 60%), was 3 ft. 5 inches tall (66%) and his body mass index was in the 45%.  He is decently tall and lean!  He had to get four shots that day, along with the flu mist in his nose. He was NOT happy! Thankfully he passed his vision test with flying colors. I think all of our kids will have to get contacts/glasses someday, but hopefully not until high school or so!  He is wearing size 4T everything and some 5T shirts....  He wears size 11 toddler shoes.

Graydon can completely dress himself, put his shoes on, brush his own teeth, completely go to the bathroom on his own, and buckle himself into his 5-point harness car seat (we still have to tighten it sometimes).

He is a pretty good listener for the most part but if he is playing or distracted it can be hard to get his attention sometimes.  He is really good about picking up his toys when asked to.

He loves bath time still.

He is a great eater for the most part but has definitely been letting us know lately what he does and doesn't like.  It has surprised me recently how many fruits he doesn't currently prefer. But he seems to love strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, apples, and peaches.  He will not eat bananas and grapes right now and isn't a fan of pears anymore.  He loves yogurt and pancakes for breakfast. He still refuses to touch any sort of cereal which I think is so odd but oh well!
For lunch he prefers sandwiches and fresh veggies, or like grilled cheese and tomato soup. He likes hot dogs but isn't a fan of chicken nuggets anymore although he will eat them when he has to.  He of course LOVES mac n cheese, that is one of his favorites.  And of course cheese in general.

He is very talkative and imaginative. He would play outside several times a day if he could and loves to run and jump around, and "dig for worms"...one of his favorite things to do!
We have to tell him constantly that he cannot bounce on the couch or wrestle on top of Nora!

His favorite toys right now are probably his Ninja Turtles that he received for his birthday.

He still loves to read books with us of course.
His favorite TV shows right now are ANYTHING that has a Halloween theme, but he loves Wild Kratts, Curious George, Kung Fu Panda, Sofia the First.

He still loves to paint and put stickers on everything, but not really into writing letters yet at all. Although he can finally hold a pencil correctly, yay!

Graydon is really sweet and pretty excited about the new baby coming. He continues to say that he wants a little brother!

The kid still has the most amazing memory...I have no clue how he remembers stuff sometimes!!

Pregnancy Survery-37 Weeks Baby O #3

How far along? 37 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss:   I currently weigh around 185 lbs! Ahh!
How big is baby?  Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds and is more than 18 1/2 inches long (about the size of a head of romaine lettuce). She's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Your baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of her first bowel movement.- Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Most of the time! Sometimes I wear big T-Shirts to bed, or size large sweaters. But I'm so big now that mostly everything is maternity!
Sleep:  It has gotten pretty bad in the last week or so.  I wake up constantly uncomfortable and trying to get repositioned. I do not remember being this uncomfortable my last two pregnancies!
Best moment this week:  Graydon's 4th Birthday week, spending time in his classroom, his Birthday party at my in laws, Great Wolf Lodge that weekend in Traverse City, getting to see a movie AND going out to dinner for our anniversary (we saw Gone Girl and ate at Fire Fly in TC), Pedi/Lunch -thai date with Lyn, Ava Anderson Party at my house, finishing all the painting!!!!! MOPS, doing A LOT of hair..... going downtown to the Marathon and watching Mike run. It has been a very busy few weeks and time is flying by. I cannot believe that this baby is going to be here soon!   Last weekend I also went shopping and finally bought some diapers, pail liners and some clothes/sleepers for when the baby comes.  I will have to return some of it, once we know the gender!
Movement: Yes, a lot! And it is pretty painful now.
Food cravings:   Pumpkin donuts...apple cider. Fruit, juice, pizza. Baked goods in general. Fall foods! Hearty dishes.
Food aversions:  Nada
Gender:  It's a surprise!
Names:  I feel up in the air again. We really need to talk about this, LOL.
Labor Signs:  A lot of contractions.
Still on, yay! But getting a bit tighter.
Stretchmarks? Yes, from before :)
How are you feeling?  This past week has been rough because of the cold that I have.  Energy is pretty low but pushing through.
What I am looking forward to:  Trick or treating this week, and having a pretty open schedule next month, FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!! wooot!
What I miss:  Walking like a normal individual and not feeling like I'm waddling...hahaha. Also not feeling like I have to pee 24/7!  Same as last week!
Weekly Wisdom:
  Rest if you need it...
Milestones:  Almost two weeks left. Could technically be any time now...ahhh!!!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others:  Just people asking me how much longer we have and whatnot!

I really need to get on the ball here. We still have zero hospital bags packed and the car seat isn't even ready to go, lol.  Not sure why I'm procrastinating!

33 Week Pregnancy Survey-Baby O 3#

How far along? 33 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Not sure this week! I will check next week ;)
How big is baby?  This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (about the size of a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.
Maternity clothes?  Most of the time!
Sleep: The same!
Best moment this week: Getting stuff done around the house, Ava Anderson party, visit from my friend Jessica, MOPS playdate at Koetsiers, a "Bonanza" at Gray's school, and a playdate at Marci's. Not too much happened last week and it was nice!
Movement: Yes, a lot!
Food cravings:   Thai food, pumpkin pie and vanilla ice cream, orange juice, cinnamon rolls, water....I am always so thirsty!
Food aversions:  Nothing that I can think of.
Gender:  It's a surprise!
Names:  We have a few in mind.
Labor Signs:  Just a lot of Braxton Hicks and sometimes they are pretty painful.
Symptoms:  My pelvis is really hurting lately and my breasts are getting more tender. I know, all really fun stuff, but just keeping it real! Ha!
Belly Button in or out?  Definitely out now!
Wedding rings on or off?  Still on, yay!
Stretchmarks? Yes, from before :)
How are you feeling?  Pretty good for the most part!!  Tired though...
What I am looking forward to:  Finishing up house projects, Graydon turning 4 and our weekend in Traverse City with family.  Hopefully another even at ArtPrize sometime this week.
What I miss:  Feeling like the day goes by in a flash!
Weekly Wisdom:
  Can't waste a minute....
Milestones:  7 weeks or so to go!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others:  My Father in law told me that I already look like I'm ready to go into labor. I was like gee, thanks Bob... :P Apparently he forgets how big you get at the end!

Graydon and Preschool 3-K

A couple weeks ago Graydon started preschool and so far he loves it! It is only two mornings a week, Tuesday and Thursday, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am.  His teachers names are Ms. Becky and Ms. Kim, and so far they tell us that he is doing really well! He is stubborn sometimes though and tells them when he doesn't want or like to do something, such as get paint on his hands, or eat M&Ms (I know, weird right...?! lol)  But so far, so good!  I think it has been really great for him. He has brought home a few cute projects so far, and every Tuesday brings home a new book to keep for the week that he takes back the following Tuesday.  I am going to be volunteering and bringing treats coming up on his 4th Birthday, so I am looking forward to seeing how the dynamic in his class is and how things flow! Here are some pictures from his meet and greet day, along with the first day of school! His was so excited and didn't seem scared a bit...we were very proud of him!

Meet and greet day:

First day!

Nora-18 Month pics

Here are some updated pictures of Nora lately!

Nora is 18 months old!

Oh my goodness....this sweet girl...she so has our heart and easily captivates our attention! Her spunky little personality and big cheesy grin gets to you so quick!  There are so many things that I want to say and write about her so that I do not forget...it's hard to know where to start!

Stats wise, she is 26 lbs. and 10 oz, which is 89%;  33 inches tall, 80% and her head comes in at only 50% at 18.25 inches.  We call her our little chunkamonk and we love her chubby cheeks, chin and thighs!
We wears 24-2T size shirts. Some 24 month pants are still a bit big, mostly in the waist and length but fit her great in the butt.  She is wearing 5-6 size shoes and boots. Her hair is finally long enough that I've been pulling it back into little ponytails or pigtails and I actually just cut her bangs for the first time yesterday! She wears size 4 diapers.
Her favorite outfits that I love to dress her in right now are her striped Wild at Heart with the gold heart shirt, any sort of leggings with her gray boots or little black dress shoes, her yellow shirt with the girl on the bike on it, and she just transitioned into some big girl pjs that are pink and have hearts on them. They are flannel and the shirt buttons up...Chris says she looks like a little old man and it's adorable!

Nora is a pretty good eater. For breakfast she loves yogurt, cheerios and fruit, also pancakes or french toast. She loves to drink milk and water and juice occasionally.  Her favorite snacks are pretzels, goldfish, fruit, fruit snacks and applesauce. She is not a huge fan or sliced turkey or ham, but loves cheese, bread, pasta, cottage cheese, chicken noodle or tomato soup, steamed mixed veggies, hot dogs, chicken nuggest, mac n cheese.  I am constantly trying to introduce new foods to her!  She also uses a spoon and fork really well but still also uses her hands for things. Also need to mention how much she LOVES smoothies, especially from Costco (just like her big bro!) and of course, fruit snacks as well! She knows right where they are and likes to go and get them, haha!

She is a great sleeper and typically sleeps from like 8:30 pm to 7 am along with a 2 hour nap in the afternoon depending on how active we have been that day. She does great sleeping in her crib but I'm pretty sure she would love sleeping with us every night if we let her!

She loves to copy everything that Graydon does and is pretty smart! She loves to play with and carry around her "babies". Her and Gray both love to take toys from one another which is sort of aggravating and starts a lot of little fights but I think that is normal between siblings. We are constantly working on "sharing!"

She is great about brushing her teeth and washing her hands and also loves bath time.
Lately she has been teething and has at least 9 teeth all the way through!

She is learning new things very quickly and says a lot of new words now, along with trying to say more new ones daily. I would say that she can say at least 30-40 words!  Her favorite words or phrases are:   Hi, bye bye, no or no no, yeah!, night night, mama, dada, Niles, gogurt, please, get down, get out, milk, beep beep, book, baby, toes, shoes, socks, poop, oww or owie. The last two weeks she started putting words together, and will say things like yes please, no night night, bye bye dada, Hi Tucker (that is our little friend). She will also name animals and the ones she is best at is duck, quack quack, puppy ruff ruff, kitty meow meow, monkey ooh ohh ahh ahh, horsey and if she sees a dinosaur she LOVES to go ROAAARRR!! It's hilarious. I know this is a lot more that I am just forgetting! :)

Some other little things are that she knows most of her body parts, she can go up and down the stairs really well and loves to run. She will help Graydon pick up and put away the toys and can stack blocks along with starting to do some bigger block Melissa and Doug puzzles.  She loves to jump up and down, and dance, along with listen to music. She points to pictures and can name or recognize family members along with animals. She loves books right now and loves to read as well!

Nora definitely likes to watch TV with her brother. She loves Curious George, Daniel Tiger, Sofia the First and Thomas the Train. Graydon wasn't really into TV much at her age, but I think she watches it a lot more than he did because he is older now so she does what he does etc.

Nora can be outgoing and say hi to everyone we pass in the store when she wants to be, but is mostly shy especially if caught off guard. She has been doing really well lately when we put her into the nursery at church or at MOPS and does well playing with the other kids as far as I know. No crying lately when we drop her off, so that has been great!

Speaking of crying, she is definitely starting to throw some little fits her and there and exerting her independence of when and what she likes to do and when she doesn't etc! She also likes to scream and shriek at times.

We haven't really started potty training her much yet, and I think I will wait until after her second birthday, although she will grab her diaper and say poop sometimes!

I think that is about all for now regarding Nora! :)

26-32 Week Pregnancy Survey- Baby O 3#

How far along? 32 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 178.5 lbs  +9 lbs in the last 6 weeks or so.  ( I weighed 173 with Gray and 167 with Nora at this point!)
How big is baby?  By now, your baby weighs 3 3/4 pounds (about the size of a large jicama) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.  - Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Yes, definitely. And all maternity tops are fitting great now. I'm getting BIG! lol
Sleep:  I still sleep pretty great for the most part. But I have to have the wedge under my belly, and pillow between my hips and legs. I wake up a lot on my back.
Best moment this week: The last six weeks or so:  Dinner at our friend's Joe and Erica's farm. Jazz at the zoo, Unity Festival with my cousin Erica (soooo much fun!), Chris's birthday weekend in Ludington/Suds on the Shore beer fest and staying at my friend Lauren's house. Meeting up with Heidi and Erica at the East GR Library, morning playdate at the mall with Lyn, Elliot's birthday party, Nora turned 18  months old!!! Labor day party at the Marsh's, cookout with Chris's fam for Labor Day, GRAYDON STARTED PRESCHOOL!!  Brooke's volleyball games at Aquinas, Pedicure and shopping morning with Lyn, Beth Moore bible study started, MOPS started!!! We finally got the dining room painted and most of the bathroom, just need to finish trim details. We were models for a photo shoot for 30 minutes.  And that is about it!! Lots of stuff going on. And FALL/Holiday time is finally here...our most favorite time of year! :)
Movement: Yes, and sometimes it is a bit painful.
Food cravings:   I know there have been things here and there but the only real consistent thing is water or juice...I am so thirsty all the time! I still love like chocolate, ice cream etc. And crave salty stuff sometimes, or savory things. It all just depends!
Food aversions:  Nothing that I can think of.
Gender:  It's a surprise!
Names:  We have a few in mind.
Labor Signs:  Just a lot of Braxton Hicks and sometimes they are pretty painful.
Symptoms:  Well definitely getting bigger. And of course the BH along with getting more uncomfortable, having to pee a lot still, starting to waddle sort of... :)  I think I may be starting to get a big swollen too.
Belly Button in or out?  Definitely out now!
Wedding rings on or off?  Still on, yay!
Stretchmarks? Yes, from before :)
How are you feeling?  Pretty good for the most part!!
What I am looking forward to:  Finishing up house projects, Graydon turning 4 and our weekend in Traverse City with family.
What I miss:  Feeling like I have ANY amount of free time, hence not keeping this blog updated!
Weekly Wisdom:
Nap if you need it. Sometimes you just have to give in.
Milestones:  8 weeks left, craziness!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others:  Can't think of any right now besides my friend Dana telling me that I really popped since the last time she saw me! :)

Total weight gain/loss: 169.5 lbs  +2 lbs in the last couple weeks.  ( I weighed 164 with Gray and 156 with Nora at this point!)
How big is baby?  Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — 1 1/2 pounds — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture..  - Baby Center
Maternity clothes? Still the same- mostly just bottoms though. Most maternity tops are still huge. I love wearing size L or XL tanks right now.
Sleep:  It has been getting more uncomfortable and I've been waking periodically.
Best moment this week: The last two weeks:  Jazz at the Zoo on Monday evenings,  having my 24 week appointment. Baby's heart rate was around 150! Finished priming the dining room and bathroom. Cousin Valerie's graduation open house and visiting with family.  Hurt my neck, which was SO terrible! Ugh... :(   Went to the Children's Museum with Marci's who clan and they also had some outdoor activities celebrating their birthday party.  Hung out with one of my best friends Kerri, for her birthday. I did her hair and we went to the mall and walked around while she shopped, and we totally indulged in chinese for dinner and it was GREAT!   Saturday we spent the day with Chris's family and went to the zoo. The kids had a GREAT time and afterwards we came home and grilled food for dinner.
Movement: Yes, love it!
Food cravings:   I still love seafood alfredo!  Chocolate ( cookies etc.)
Food aversions:  Nothing that I can think of.
Gender:  It's a surprise!
Names: I have a few in mind that I love but want to look for some more ideas!
Labor Signs:  The other night after the zoo, I could tell I had totally overdone things. I was having really bad cramping and feel like I was having contractions, it was not fun!
Symptoms:  All of the usual, lol.   Plus on my busy days I've been feeling like some swelling is coming on but nothing yet.
Belly Button in or out? It's slowly coming out....haha
Wedding rings on or off?  Still on
Stretchmarks? Yes, from before :)
How are you feeling?  A lot better. The vitamins definitely help with being tired etc.  But having a busy day is still wiping me out by the evening time.
What I am looking forward to:  Chris's birthday weekend, and also getting our dining room and bathroom painted.
What I miss:  Feeling rested.
Weekly Wisdom:
  Get REST! lol
Milestones:  Already 25 weeks...only 15 to go!! Ahh!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others:  Once again I've had a lot of people give me sweet compliments saying how good I look.
