How far along? 14 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:
143 lbs. Down 3 lbs. from last week. 2 lbs. total. Ugh....I know that this is because I have been sick and haven't had a huge appetite. At this point
with Graydon I had already gained 8.5 lbs.
How big is baby? Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his
thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a
workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His
kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid
around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and
if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his
thumb. Baby is 3.5 inches long and the size of a lemon.- Baby Center
Maternity clothes?
Nope, especially now that I am feeling so small again. :(
Sleep: Sleep has been terrible lately. I wake up constantly tossing and turning and have to use the bathroom usually one to two times. I usually always sleep well. I think all the stress of what's been happening lately hasn't helped.
Best moment this week: Hearing the baby's heartbeat Monday at the OB's office and having her tell me that the baby will be fine even though I've been on a ton of meds lately.
Movement: Nothing lately really. Hopefully soon!
Food cravings: Chicken broth and Blue Gatorade Frost have been the only two things I really want.
Food aversions: Any sort of meat...weird...
Gender: No idea, but thinking GIRL!
Labor Signs: Nada
Symptoms: Just nausea and sore breasts.
Belly Button in or out? Still in.
Wedding rings on or off? Still on and for a long time hopefully. :)
Stretchmarks?
I have some very faint marks from being pregnant with Graydon but they are not very noticeable.
How are you feeling? A lot better than I've felt the past couple of weeks.
What I am looking forward to: Being headache and migraine free again.
What I miss: Feeling normal.
Weekly Wisdom: Don't over-do it.
Milestones:
Finally in 2nd Trimester. Can't believe it!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others: Everyone being concerned about the baby during these severe migraines I've been having. The nurse not being able to find the HB with the crappy doppler in the ER (that was fun...(not)). Chris looking at me like Uhh...what's going on...does she know what she is doing? (she WAS new to give her some credit..) My doctor being so optimistic about the baby being fine through all of this.
Long story short, I have been suffering from severe migraines for about a week and a half. We are talking debilitating, do nothing but lay in bed and literally sleep all day and night migraines. It started over 3 weeks ago when I kept getting these bad headaches everyday and then last week, boom, they wouldn't stop and it go so severe I couldn't function. I went to ER, had a cat scan, lumbar puncture and have been on tons of narcotics to try to control the pain. It has totally sucked. I was on a juice and liquid diet per my doctor for a couple days, not like I could really eat anyways. My OB finally suggested a Beta Blocker which helps open your blood vessels and relieves the pressure. I think it is finally starting to work. I was able to get online today and type, so that is a good sign. I have also been getting acupuncture (I've been trying anything and everything under the sun to get any sort of relief) and today is my last session. I am hoping by next week I am back to 100%. I haven't worked in about two weeks and I am so over this pain! I want life to get back to normal and I miss my Graydon...I have barely seen him. :( Anyways, that is all.
14 Week pic and my fake smile because I was not feeling the greatest!
