34 Week Survey- Baby O #2

How far along? 34 weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  +3 lbs. since week 32.  Not too shabby! 29 lbs. total. At 34 weeks with Gray I had already gained almost 34 lbs.
How big is baby?  Baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers – which she'll need to regulate her body temperature once she's born – are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies. -Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Definitely. Love them.
Sleep: It's been a little iffy.  Took a unisom one night to help and I was still waking up a ton which is unusual. Oh well, just dealing with it!
Best moment this week: New Years Eve with my best friend and her family, having a short work week, Chris's work Christmas party for his new job, getting a ton done around the house and getting the nursery ready to go, getting the rug (I love it!!). Oh and I almost forgot..Saturday I got a prenatal massage and it was amaaaaazing. I went and saw Andrea who was our Doula for Graydon. She gives the BEST massages! I am going to see her again around 38 weeks and I can't wait.  That evening I also tuned up our registry at BBRUS since I am having to Sprinkles coming up, one at work and one with friends and family. I am really looking forward to them!
Movement: Almost always.  And yes she was in a breech position last week at my doctor's appointment but she still has plenty of time to flip around so no worries yet! She technically has two weeks to "lock and load" as I am calling it. My OB said by week 36 or so she should choose her position and most likely stay there.
Food cravings: Healthy food, OJ...my stomach has been getting upset by a lot of different foods lately including anything with too much sugar.
Food aversions:  Nothing anymore really.
Gender: Baby girl!
Labor Signs: Still having strong BH a lot.  Last night I had a bit of a scare and had some really painful cramping/contractions for about 2-3 hours. I had to lift Graydon when we left daycare because he was throwing a fit and I think I overdid it...  It was not a good evening.
Symptoms:  Tired. Contractions. Heartburn. Fun stuff! :)
Belly Button in or out? I would say it's definitely poking out now!
Wedding rings on or off?  Still on, woo hoo! I haven't had any swelling really that I have noticed this time around..I am thanking the cold weather for that I think!
Stretchmarks? Just around my belly button.
How are you feeling?  The sciatica has been better the last couple of days thank goodness. My pelvis is hurting  A LOT so things are starting to widen I guess. Normal stuff...body is definitely preparing for labor.
What I am looking forward to: Getting more stuff done around the house this weekend. Getting fabric samples in the mail for the nursery curtains. Someone from Etsy may be making them for us. They are too expensive online.
What I miss:  Being able to sleep and get out of bed like a normal person, LOL. Graydon not throwing his tantrums all the time.
Weekly Wisdom:
Don't lift your 2.5 year old when you are about to have a baby soon....
Milestones:  Can't think of anything specific this week.
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others:  I got a really great compliment at the Christmas party Friday night. I had been talking with this nurse in the kitchen. A while later we were all out in the dining room and she goes WAIT! You are pregnant!?  You are 34 weeks?? You look amaaaaaazing!! I didn't even notice that you were pregnant when we were talking in the kitchen!! LOL. I was like THANK YOUUUU!!! haha!
