16 Week Survey-Baby O #3

How far along? 16 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Hovering around 159. Eeeeeeek! Oh well though!
How big is baby?  Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.- Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Yes, just some capris and shorts. They are way more comfortable because it was starting to hurt when I bent over wearing my regular jeans. Also have worn a couple new summer dresses I got from Old Navy and I LOVE them!
Sleep: Still pretty good, minus the kids waking up at 6:30 :P
Best moment this week: Going to the splash pad, playdate at Marci's, having my 16 week appt. and hearing the baby's heartbeat, hanging out with Sarah and doing her hair, our family fun day in Saugatuck! We went to the brewery there, the beach, and walked around and got gelato. We were all exhausted that night! Church, and then hanging out with Kerri, having mojitos (her and Chris) and doing nails.
Movement: Yes, occasionally!
Food cravings:   Cold drinks, mexican food, ice cream, fruit
Food aversions:  Sour cream still tastes really weird to me. Coffee has been upsetting my stomach (booooo!!) but a lot of food has.
Gender: Surprise!
Names: I have some in my head! We need to talk about it still and have a lot of time.
Labor Signs: Nothing thank goodness!
Symptoms:  Sore breasts, I get tired easily
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off?  Still on
Stretchmarks? Yes, from before :)
How are you feeling?  Energetic mostly, but tired by the end of the day.
What I am looking forward to: We have a lot going on this week!  Tomorrow we are visiting the Critter Barn and then tomorrow night I pick my friend Lauren up from the train station.  Wednesday Nora has her 15 month peds appt, Thursday we are going to visit my friend Grandma Nancy, and Friday I get to go dress shopping with Lyn! Chris's parents are coming here for the day to spend some time with the kids.
What I miss:  Drinking and working out.
Weekly Wisdom:
Get rest when you can!
Milestones: Can't believe I'm a month away from being half way done!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others: I've gotten a lot of compliments lately that pregnancy looks good on me, that I'm a beautiful pregnant person etc. People are very sweet and flattering. Definitely makes this momma feel good since this is #3!

15 Week Survey- Baby O #3

How far along? 15 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Not sure! And we were gone over the weekend so I wasn't home to weigh myself. I will do it again at 16 weeks.
How big is baby?  Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds.- Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Yes, just some capris and shorts. They are way more comfortable because it was starting to hurt when I bent over wearing my regular jeans. Also have worn a couple new summer dresses I got from Old Navy and I LOVE them!
Sleep: It has been really great this week, thankfully. I haven't even needed any unisom and I haven't woken up to use the bathroom. Although the kids keep waking me up around 6:30. I know 30 minutes doesn't seem like much but I would REALLY love to sleep until 7 at least!
Best moment this week: Play date at Kerri's house, play date at Marci's, taking the kids to the park and having dinner at Cherry Street Deli (so good!) Having dinner Thursday evening with the other Moms in my MOPS group at Fajita Republic (and no kiddos for a few hours, woo hoo!)  Friday we went to Norton Shores to stay with Chris's parents for a few nights and hang out for Memorial Day weekend. We played outside, and also went and had dinner and gelato in Grand Haven. Chris and his Dad, Bob, built the kids a swing set so that is fun for them to have there now!  Sunday afternoon we grilled out and then headed home. On Memorial Day we did a bunch of stuff around the house and yard work, and grilled ribs. It was a fun but exhausting weekend! We played a couple games of Washers and I am so sore!
Movement: I have actually been feeling some twinges this past week! I know it is super early but I swear I am feeling movement. Exciting!
Food cravings:   Fruit, chocolate chip cookies, chips-mainly salt and vinegar, cold sandwiches
Food aversions:  The only thing I have REALLY noticed this past week is that if something is "light" or "fat free" etc, I can really taste it and it tastes terrible!  Sour cream, cottage cheese, etc.
Gender: Surprise!
Names: I have some in my head! We need to talk about it still and have a lot of time.
Labor Signs: Nothing thank goodness!
Symptoms:  Just pressure on my abdomen occasionally.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off?  Still on
Stretchmarks? Yes, from before :)
How are you feeling?  Energetic mostly, but tired by the end of the day.
What I am looking forward to: Our 20 week ultrasound, just to make sure that all of the organs look great etc. Praying for a HEALTHY baby, most importantly!
What I miss:  Drinking. Didn't really miss it much with Gray and Nora but I miss it lately. It has finally gotten hot out and every time Chris has had a margarita or opened a beer my mouth waters!
Weekly Wisdom:
Sleep when you can.
Milestones: Being over 1/3 of the way done. Crazy!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others:  Strangers asking me when I'm due, what baby this is etc.

14 Week Pregnancy Survey- Baby O #3

Wow! I have really been a blog slacker this pregnancy so far, but life is busy at home with two kiddos! :)  I have taken some belly pics, but not every week.  I am hoping to try to blog at the least, every other week from now on.  Also, I cannot believe I am in 2nd tri already!

How far along? A little over 14 weeks.
Total weight gain/loss: So I am weighing in around 156 lbs. right now.  I haven't really gained any weight so far this pregnancy. I think I have actually lost some since we have been so active. But I am good with that, since I started out about 15 lbs. heavier than when I got pregnant with Gray and Nora. At this point in my pregnancies with them I was still about 5-10 lbs. smaller than I am right now.
How big is baby?  Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb.  Baby is 3.5 inches long and the size of a lemon.- Baby Center
Maternity clothes?  Not yet, although I do have to do the rubber band trick with my pants now.
Sleep: It is great if I take half a unisom, but since my nausea went away I have been trying to not take it anymore. If I do not take it I seem to wake up several times, toss and turn and have weird dreams! I usually go pee once around like 2 am.
Best moment this week: Having Nancy's surgery go really well, my last MOPS meeting for this year, I just love my table! And Saturday Gray and Nora went to a birthday party and Chris and I ate out (ALONE!) at Chipotle and walked around a few stores. It was nice!
Other best moments since I am "catching up":   Telling some friends and family and seeing their expressions, and YES this baby was planned! Finishing my Beth Moore Study, Esther, which was awesome!  Playdates with friends.  Our Florida trip to see family. Nora learning to walk. Not having migraines this pregnancy, woo hoo!!  Shelly and Jon's wedding. Mother's Day!
Movement: Nothing yet :)
Food cravings:   So this pregnancy has been totally different than the last two. Despite my nausea in the first tri, I have craved healthy foods, especially salads and V8 which I love to drink for snacks etc.  I have never craved those before, in fact, when I'm pregnant the though of salad usually disgusts me.  Also, I have craved both salty AND sweet foods, so nothing cliche here. I love them both. I do not know what to think about this!
Food aversions:  Mushrooms which I normally love, and some things have tasted funny to me, like a salsa I usually enjoy.
Gender: Not sure and this pregnancy it will be a surprise! I have always said that if we ever had one of each and were blessed with a 3rd, that it just made sense to have it be a surprise. Be have both boy and girls clothes, so we do not need much to be ready for this baby. Besides diapers :P  But anyways, Chris of course wants another girl. I would love both!  I am currently feeling it is a boy though for some reason!
Names: I still love a lot of the names I liked when I was pregnant for both Gray and Nora, so we will see!
Labor Signs: Nothing thank goodness!
Symptoms:  Exhaustion ;) and occasional nausea still, if I have a day where I tend to over-do things.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off?  Still on
Stretchmarks? Yes, from before :)
How are you feeling?  Just tired mostly!  And elated still...and excited!  I am so happy that we will be having a "Thanksgiving Baby"! So cool.
What I am looking forward to: Our 20 week ultrasound, just to make sure that all of the organs look great etc. Praying for a HEALTHY baby, most importantly!
What I miss:  Having a lot of energy, but I have a feeling I won't be having that again for a few years, haha!!
Weekly Wisdom:
A lot has happened over the past few months.  Regarding life in general, I choose happiness, love, and joy. We are so blessed to have this life we live, I refuse to let negativity let me forget this!
Milestones:  Making it to the second trimester! Happy to be here and not feel nauseous anymore.  It is bittersweet to know that this is most likely, Lord willing, my last pregnancy!
Pregnancy Moments with Chris and others: The only thing I can think of currently is that people have been telling me lately that I have "popped"!

Belly pic post to come!

Nora's 1st Birthday Party!

For Nora's birthday party, I decided on a "Little Love" theme, since I call her that a lot, and everything was mostly in pinks and golds. We had Italian food, a big dessert bar and the most fun thing of all was probably the Hot Chocolate Bar! It turned out to be a great bash and Nora really enjoyed eating her cake and opening her presents. She was so cute! Here are some of my favorite pictures.

These pictures will not include anything from Nora's Birthday party, which I plan on doing a separate post for.
