7 Week Survey

How far along? 7 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +2.5 this week. Officially 146 lbs. Not sure what happened there...yikes!!! I am hoping it is because, according to Babycenter, my ute has doubled in size in the past 5 weeks.
Maternity clothes? THANK goodness for the makers of the Bellaband. I would be screwed without it!! I cannot button any of my pants officially, except for my skinny jeans which are stretchy anyways. But all of my work pants, forget it.
Sleep: Really good! I wake up at least once or twice though.
Best moment this week: Making it to 7 weeks and having my first appointment yesterday, it was sort of surreal!
Movement: nope
Food cravings: Fruit!! Especially pineapple.
Gender: No feelings yet.
Labor Signs: NONE
Belly Button in or out? Innie
Stretchmarks? Just the ones I have always had!
What I am looking forward to: My 10 week appt. where I will hopefully and finally get an ultrasound. Three more weeks!!
What I miss: Spicy tuna rolls.
Weekly Wisdom: In this stage, the bellabands and saltines are your best friend!
Milestones: Having the first appointment!

How your baby's growing:

The big news this week: Hands and feet are emerging from developing arms and legs — although they look more like paddles at this point than the tiny, pudgy extremities you're daydreaming about holding and tickling. Technically, your baby is still considered an embryo and has something of a small tail, which is an extension of her tailbone. The tail will disappear within a few weeks, but that's the only thing getting smaller. Your baby has doubled in size since last week and now measures half an inch long, about the size of a blueberry.

If you could see inside your womb, you'd spot eyelid folds partially covering her peepers, which already have some color, as well as the tip of her nose and tiny veins beneath parchment-thin skin. Both hemispheres of your baby's brain are growing, and her liver is churning out red blood cells until her bone marrow forms and takes over this role. She also has an appendix and a pancreas, which will eventually produce the hormone insulin to aid in digestion. A loop in your baby's growing intestines is bulging into her umbilical cord, which now has distinct blood vessels to carry oxygen and nutrients to and from her tiny body.

Our little blueberry has hands and feet now!!
My first appointment yesterday went well. It was pretty much just like an interview with the nurse, wanting to know all of my medical information and past health history, along with our families and whatnot. She gave me a lot of pamphlets and we talked about a lot of stuff, most of it I must admit, I already knew. I did have some questions for her though regarding sleep positioning and when I should stop sleeping on my stomach and back. And also if the B6 dose I was taking was too much, but I guess it is not. I think that it is really helping. Ever since I started taking it I am hardly nauseous at all, it is really great!

I just found your blog.

How fun. I can feel your excitement! The first trimester is both so exciting and so nerve wracking. I kinda wish I was there again (but, ideally not for a couple years, lol)! I loved tracking every milestone. Congrats on your pregnancy and your cute little belly :)

Enjoy the bloat- I remember being sad when it went away! It makes you feel more pregnant, I think, even though you know it's not actually the baby!

You look great, and congrats on a good first appointment!

I have a blogger question for you. I am guessing you have a three column background but how did you get page elements on both sides of the page? Did you have to have a certain template? Thanks :)
