28 Week Survey

How far along? 28 Weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: Between the last two weeks I have gained 1.5 lbs. 26 lbs. total
How big is baby? Supposed to be 2.25 lbs, and 14.8 inches long.
Maternity clothes? Yes and no. I wear a lot of larger sizes from Target and Old Navy. Today I am not wearing anything maternity, love it!
Sleep: Last night I slept awesome. I bought the boppy wedge a couple weeks ago and love that thing...and then I sleep with a body pillow between my knees and hug my arms around it, works perfectly. Also, if I do not get up to pee at least once in the night, I am really hurting by the time I get up after 6 or so.
Best moment this week: Had an AWESOME 4th of July weekend, and finally making some progress on the nursery. Also, the babe is making some definite, different movements in there now, like flips and stuff.
Movement: All the time it seems!
Food cravings: Fresh fruit, especially grapes, pineapple, strawberries and raspberries.
Gender: Team Blue!
Labor Signs: nope
Belly Button in or out? I would say it is pretty flat at this point, but not poking out yet.
Stretchmarks? Just like a tiny one on my boob. None at all my stomach! I am using Organic Palmer's Cocoa Butter cream in the morning and this "Beautiful Belly Balm" at night that I got at our local health food store.
How are you feeling? I am feeling great this week. I know I haven't been getting much sleep but I think I am starting to get used to it.
What I am looking forward to: Tomorrow morning I am getting my first pre-natal massage from my Doula (I get 3 included in my package from her.) so I am pretty excited about that! It has been a while since I had a massage. I am also looking forward to finishing working on the trim in the nursery, it is taking forever! I really want to get finished so we can start putting the furniture in there.
What I miss: Not being able to sleep on my back and stomach.
Weekly Wisdom: Stay active.
Milestones: So within the past week he is officially hurting me with some of his movements. Not sure what he is doing in there but ouchy! The bedding came in and I really like it so far so I was happy about that, you just never know when you order something online. I might have to take my rings off soon. If I am outside too long my fingers get all swollen...they seem to be fine when I am inside in the air conditioning though (it has been super hot here lately!) We got the nursery all painted except for the trim, which we are still working on scraping the paint off. Wednesday evening I had to go and get my Rhogam shot. Chris and I both have A- blood types, which I think is cool because it is somewhat rare, but there is like a 1% chance that we could produce a baby with a positive blood type, so just to be on the safe side I had to get it. And they made me take it in the butt. Not a fan of shots in the butt, haha. I have also gotten a couple nose bleeds the past couple days.
And I have officially received my first (or so I thought) "rude" comment.
I was sitting at my desk, on my ball chair, typing and working away, minding my own business and in a great mood, when the Ferris Coffee guy came in to restock our coffee area supplies. He comes in about once a week so I have seen him occasionally over the past couple months. As he is walking by he goes "Well you can definitely tell you are starting to get more uncomfortable." I was like uhhhh...really? Because I feel great? And in my head I'm thinking what the heck is that supposed to mean dude?!!? Do I look like I am sitting here writhing in pain or something? I am sure that I probably had the oddest look on my face, because he didn't say anything else and just sort of walked away. It was just awkward, haha! Oh well.

How your baby's growing:

By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

Ann you look great! That baby boy is growing so well! And the pains don't go away until after he arrives, unfortunately.

Glad you are feeling great! I can't believe how fast it is going, he will be here before you know it. =)
That is so cool you have a Doula! They seem like a lot of help.
I had nose bleeds too when I was pregnant. You are the only other person I have heard say that.
I hope you are staying cool in this hot weather.
